What is the AP Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme?

The TDP party chief minister and Chandrababu Naidu, announced in April 2025 that they would provide the benefit of the scheme to all the fishermen. They have released the Matsyakara Bharosa fishing ban relief to the bank accounts of beneficiaries. All the beneficiaries can check their payment using their Aadhar number on the official website of the AP. This is a welfare scheme which was launched in 2019 and previously known by the name YSR Matsyakara Bharosa. But the newly elected Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh changed the name. Along with the financial assistance of Rs 20000, they will also provide a subsidy for the motorised and non-motorised fishing nets.

The fisherman will get a diesel subsidy of rupees 9 per litre as per the announcement. Eligibility List

• All the permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh are eligible to get fishermen’s Relief from the party.
